Open since 2006, the Medical Kush Beach Club (MKBC) is California’s largest medical marijuana dispensary, with a clientele base far wider than its humble Venice Beach location. Numerous celebrities, including Tommy Chong, Elija Wood, and Rob Van Dam have walked through the MKBC doors.

On April 20th (very funny) the MKBC was collateral damage to an investigation of a neighboring Doctor’s office and over 1mm dollars of product, equipment, records and personal items were stolen by the medical board as they learned about the dispensary through it’s investigation and raid on the neighboring Medical Kush Dr.

“The Rise and Fall of the Medical Kush Beach Club” (working title) chronicles the clubs experiences as one of the largest, most popular dispensaries in the country, having navigated through federal legislation, police raids, and the capricious medical marijuana industry.

Filmed over the course of three years, and including a combination of never-before-seen footage, news reports, and interviews, the documentary sheds light on the “highs” and lows of running a high-profile medical marijuana dispensary.
